In L.A. she met Keith Clifton, a choreographer teaching for the L.A. Dance Force. She was amazed at his skill of tapping and began taking his ultra funk tap classes. This sparked a tap revolution. Christina fell in love with tap and that became her main focus in dance. After returning from L.A., Lita invited her to be part of her team of instructors. Christina gladly accepted and began teaching tap for the Dance Company. The first year she taught, Christina took the Dance Company back to Dallas for a tap competition placing first in their division.
Christina received a scholarship and won Best Choreographer in 1999. While in high school she was a member of the National Honor Society and selected multiple times for Who’s Who in American High Schools. After graduation she continued to teach for the Dance Company for one year then moved to Houston. Once in Houston, Christina graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Development. While attending U of H, Christina earned her certificates in group exercise, mat Pilates, body pump, cycling, and Zumba. Christina is continuing her fourth year as an instructor for Danse Des Enfants. She continues to love to teach dance and instruct aerobic classes. She is looking forward to awesome 08-09 year.
