| Dorina Carrillo-Gamboa started dancing at the age of four at the YMCA in Houston, TX. At YMCA she danced ballet and tap for two years and shortly moved to Guadalajara, Mexico. While living in Mexico she danced ballet at “Ballet Guadalajara” for 5 years and performed “Nutcracker” four times. In 1998, she attended the State Competition of Jalisco. Afterwards she attended “Academia de Doris Topete” to dance ballet, jazz and repertoire for two years. After 8 years of living and dancing in Mexico, she relocated to Houston, TX and attended St. Anne’s Catholic School and Incarnate Word Academy. While attending St. Anne’s, Dorina also attended “West U Dance Center”. She danced there throughout junior high and high school for six years. The first four years she danced ballet and last two years modern. She also performed “Sleeping Beauty”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Swan Lake”. For two years in high school she was part of the “Falcon Dancers”.
Dorina is currently a junior at the University of St. Thomas, majoring in Communication and Spanish. She is also part of their new cheerleading squad.

Her ultimate desire is to be an advertiser.
This past semester, she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain to experience a new culture and to broaden her horizons.
In August of 2006 Dorina started working at St. Anne’s as an extended day teacher helping out with elementary and junior high kids for a year an a half.
Dorina has always enjoyed dancing, and now she would like to share all that she has learned with your kids.
