| I am the middle daughter of 3 birthed to Heather Lawson and Daniel Adams on the beautiful island of Jamaica. As Jamaican natives, we believed that if we wanted to achieve limitless success we had to move to America “the Land of Opportunity”. Living in the states granted our close nit family that chance. I maintained my scholastic excellence and participated in extra circular activities during my years in elementary through high school. I upheld my unyielding thirst for knowledge and began my pursuit for higher learning at a local Houston college. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Technology and a Minor in Dance. Through my experiences thus far, I have realized that I must take the initiative to do what I love most. Pursuing my dreams of achieving excellence, which cultivated into my strong passion for dance, has led me the necessary steps towards being a dancer. My dance training consists of me committing to the intensive technical courses offered at the University of Houston. I have accomplished various levels in Ballet IA,B; Ballet 2A,B; Jazz I,II,III; and Modern 1A,B, IIA,B. outside of the University setting, I have sought out additional classes in Hip-Hop, Step, and American Latin. Pulling from all areas of my background, heratige, the technical training I aquired, and the people I have worked with, I have produced a style that flows to the rhythm of my heart. |

I can be summed up as a self-motivated and extremely creative individual. I posses the determination needed to get the job done, a rapid learning curve, and very accepting to insight from others. I definitely work well as part of team because of my communication and interpersonal skills. I can quickly and easily establish a positive rapport with individuals of various backgrounds, cultures, and professional levels. I am exceptionally creative at developing, revamping, and teaching the technical and performance aspects of dance. For example: Breaking down choreography, checking for clarity, being open to various skill levels, and exploring different ways to move.
My future aspirations are to continue to expand upon my movement vocabulary; book local jobs; become apart of the dance network here in Houston; teach lessons taught, learning, and aspiring for; and engrave a name for myself as an inventive, edgy, tenacious dancer for future dancers to look up to.
